During your first session, we’ll have a relaxed conversation focused on getting to know one another. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to counseling, what challenges you’re currently facing, and any past experiences that may help me better understand your story and goals.
Some questions I may ask include:
• What brought you to therapy at this time?
• What challenges are you currently facing?
• What would you like to see change in your life or relationships?
• What has or hasn’t been helpful for you in the past? You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach, experience, and what to expect in future sessions. My primary goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, understood, and hopeful about the counseling process.

Although this is very unlikely, finding the right therapist is extremely important. If at any point we determine that I'm not the best fit for your needs, I'll gladly provide trusted referrals to help you find the support that's right for you.
